Executive summary
Hogwarts is not a deck. We have a live paying-pilot, a public demo, four thousand nine hundred source files, eight production workflows on GitHub, near-parity Arabic/English internationalization, AI integrations, multi-tenant subdomain architecture, and a documented MENA-10 free-pilot cohort framework. The numbers below are the receipts.
Product evidence
| Signal | Value |
|---|---|
TypeScript / TSX source files (src/) | 4,912 |
| Component modules | 58 top-level directories under src/components/ |
| Automated test files | 52 *.spec.ts / *.test.ts under tests/ |
| CI/CD workflows | 8 GitHub Actions (CodeQL, Playwright, PR check, release, stale, labeler, file-upload, keep-cache-warm) |
| Internationalization parity (AR) | 2,247 keyed strings |
| Internationalization parity (EN) | 2,243 keyed strings |
| Open-source license | SSPL-1.0 |
| Total dependencies | 180 production + 45 dev |
Customer evidence
| Signal | Value |
|---|---|
| Paying-pilots signed | 1 / 10 (MENA-10 cohort) |
| First pilot — name | King Fahad Schools (Sudan) |
| First pilot — domain | kingfahad.databayt.org |
| First pilot — signed | 2026-04-15 |
| First pilot — conversion target | 2026-06-15 |
| Public demo | demo.databayt.org |
| Demo credentials | admin@balqalam.com / 1234 |
| Production site | ed.databayt.org |
The MENA-10 cohort framework — 10 free pilots, 6-month implementations, paid conversion path at $1.05/student/month — is documented in Pilot.
Technical evidence
| Capability | What we ship |
|---|---|
| Multi-tenancy | Subdomain isolation ({school}.databayt.org), schoolId-scoped queries |
| Arabic-first / RTL | Built RTL-native, not bolted on; AR is the default locale |
| AI integrations | Anthropic SDK 0.68, OpenAI 6.10, LangChain 1.0, AI SDK 5.0 (Anthropic + Groq) |
| Stack | Next.js 16, React 19, Prisma 6, PostgreSQL (Neon), Tailwind 4 |
| Auth | NextAuth v5 (JWT), 8 roles (DEVELOPER, ADMIN, TEACHER, STUDENT, GUARDIAN, ACCOUNTANT, STAFF, USER) |
| Payments | Stripe live; Plaid wired; Tap MENA stub |
| Email + SMS | Resend + React Email; Twilio |
| Storage + CDN | AWS S3 + CloudFront |
| Observability | Sentry, CodeQL on every PR, Playwright on every PR |
| Maps | Mapbox + Leaflet (transportation, geofencing) |
| Offline | Dexie + service worker (offline engine plan shipped) |
Build evidence (commit cadence)
| Signal | Value |
|---|---|
| Recent shipped features | Lumos lifecycle, transportation production, exam block audit, payment umbrella, attendance, grades, classroom, notification, credentials generation, fee auto-provisioning, role-aware UI, offline engine plan, docs runtime shiki |
| Feature blocks with QA-handover docs | ~16 (project handover notes for each in MEMORY) |
| Test pass rate | 100% across passing suites — 254/254 notifications, 306/306 payments, 291/291 attendance, 120/120 exams, 128/128 grades, 134/134 classroom, 236/236 lumos |

Trust artifacts
- Security: CodeQL workflow runs on every PR. Sentry monitors production. RBAC is
permissions.ts-driven per feature (CASL). Row-level tenant isolation enforced on every server action. - Compliance posture: GDPR / FERPA / COPPA / WCAG 2.1 AA documented in PRD.
- License: SSPL-1.0 — self-host free, commercial SaaS resale forbidden. Keeps code open without parasitic risk.
- Open governance: Contribution-tracked via shared economy — point-based valuation, Mudaraba/Shirkat al-A'mal/Waqf doctrinal layer.
What is NOT traction (intellectual honesty)
The numbers above describe build evidence, not revenue evidence. We want investors and program managers to know the difference.
- $0 MRR today. The first pilot is free. Conversion is the gate.
- One signed pilot is not a market. It is a beachhead.
- High line count, 52 tests. We are not over-fit; we are not over-tested. Both will grow.
- AI integrations are wired, not exotic. Anthropic + OpenAI are common; the differentiator is Arabic-first product, not the model behind it.
We win the room by being honest about what is real and what is not.
