Verbatim capture of how the category markets itself, taken from each vendor's own homepage in August 2026. This page exists to be copied from — when writing our hero, our proof band, or our CTA, read the pattern here first, then decide deliberately whether to match it or break it.
Vendor profiles, market share and the feature matrix live in the parent page, Competitors. Objection handling lives in the FAQ.
Copy was captured by fetching each homepage directly. Wording changes without notice — re-capture before quoting any of it in a deck or a proposal.
Hero copy
Headline, subheadline and primary call-to-action, as written. Blank subheadline means the page ships none.
Global SIS incumbents
| Vendor | Headline | Subheadline | Primary CTA |
|---|---|---|---|
| PowerSchool | "More Power Stronger School" | "The world's most comprehensive K-12 software, unifying education ecosystems for over 60 million students in 90 countries." | "Configure Your Own K-12 OS" |
| FACTS | "Technology with Heart. Powered by Data." | "Connect your admissions, academics, finance, and family engagement in one intelligent system. With FACTS, it's simple to turn your school's data into outcomes." | "Contact Sales" |
| Infinite Campus | "A boldly different company and student information system" | — | "Learn More" |
| Skyward | "Less time on tasks. More time for students." | "You can't squeeze any more hours into the school day, but you can find ways to complete essential administrative tasks with super speed." | "Watch the story" |
| Veracross | "School data chaos, solved." | "The one-person, one-record school management platform for private and independent K-12 schools." | "Request Demo" |
| Classter | "The All-in-One Operating System for Educational Institutions" | "One System. One Login. Total Control." | "SEE IT LIVE" |
British-curriculum MIS
| Vendor | Headline | Subheadline | Primary CTA |
|---|---|---|---|
| Arbor | "Choose a better way to work" | "The UK's most popular MIS and school management software" | "Book a demo" |
| iSAMS | "Managing every area of school life just got easier, wherever you are" | "Just ask" | "Book a demo" |

| ParentPay Group (ESS SIMS) | "Creating more time for learning" | "School life is full of moving parts, from payments to progress, from catering to communication. Our systems remove the noise, streamline the admin, and connect the dots across education." | "Get in touch" |
ess-sims.co.uk now 301-redirects to parentpaygroup.com. SIMS is not dead —
it ships as "SIMS Next Gen" — but the standalone brand a school signed with is
now one product line inside a payments group. Useful in a lock-in
conversation, and worth stating accurately rather than as a collapse.
MENA regional

LMS & Virtual Classrooms

Proof band
Every vendor runs a scale row immediately under or beside the hero. This is the most consistent pattern in the entire category — 18 of the 20 pages captured have one.
| Vendor | Numbers shown |
|---|---|
| PowerSchool | 60M students · 90 countries |
| FACTS | 40+ years · 15K schools · 2M+ families |
| Infinite Campus | 11M students · 3,200 districts · 46 states · 10 state agencies |
| Skyward | 2,500+ districts · serving schools since 1980 · 6-week implementation (case study) |
| Veracross | 3,300+ schools · 70+ countries · 100% web-based |
| Classter | 500+ institutions · 40+ integrated tools · 98% user satisfaction |
| Arbor | 12,500 schools · 117+ min saved per staff/week · 81% better data use · 74% better working life |
| iSAMS | 1,800+ schools & groups · 1.7M student profiles |
| Bromcom | 3.3M users · 1.2M+ students · 5,600+ schools · 390+ MATs · 40+ years |
| ParentPay Group | 40+ years · 20,000+ schools · 9M+ users |
| Classera | 30M+ users · 200+ partners · 45+ countries · 25+ services |
| EduX | 40+ modules · 48-hour activation · 30-day free trial · AR/EN · 3 portals |
| Edusys | 3,000+ Gulf schools analysed · 20+ modules |
| Alef Education | ~2M students · 19K+ schools · 50M+ daily data points |
| Class (Class.com) | 10M+ users · 1,500+ institutions · 90+ countries |
| Canvas | 30M+ users · 100+ countries · 99.99% uptime |
| Gibbon | 26+ actively-translated languages |
| openSIS | 18+ years · 80+ countries |
| Fedena | 40,000+ schools & colleges · 200+ countries · 20+ languages |
| Frappe Education | AGPL-3.0 · public GitHub repo and star count |
Three shapes of proof are in play, and they are not interchangeable:
- Install base — schools, students, countries. The default. Requires scale we do not have.
- Outcome — Arbor alone quantifies the benefit ("117+ minutes saved per staff member weekly", "74% better working life"). Far more persuasive to an overloaded administrator than a headcount, and available to anyone willing to measure.
- Operational — EduX's "48-hour activation", Skyward's "6-week implementation". Cheap to state, instantly checkable, and the only category a new entrant can win outright.
CTA gating
The single most exploitable gap in the category. Sorted by how much friction stands between a curious school and the product.
| Door | Vendors |
|---|---|
| Sales-gated only | PowerSchool, FACTS, Infinite Campus, Veracross, Classter, Arbor, iSAMS, Tes Engage, Bromcom, ParentPay Group, Classera, Skolera, Alef, Fedena |
| Video before contact | Skyward ("Watch the story") |
| Self-serve trial | EduX (30-day), Edusys ("Sign up for free"), openSIS ("Start Free Trial", alongside a demo request) |
| Download and self-host | Gibbon, RosarioSIS, Frappe Education |
14 of 20 have no self-serve path at all. A school cannot see the product without booking a call and sitting through a pipeline. The three commercial vendors offering a trial are EduX, Edusys and openSIS — and EduX is the one positioned closest to us.
A permanently free tier, with no trial clock and no card, is stronger than every door in this table. It is a structural advantage over the whole category and belongs in the hero rather than three scrolls down.
Pricing transparency
Nobody in the category puts a price on the landing page.
| Vendor | What is published |
|---|---|
| Edusys | A range, buried in a FAQ: "1 to 5 AED per student/month or annually 4,000 AED/Year or more" |
| openSIS | Pricing model named but not priced — "staff-based pricing" |
| Fedena | A "Pricing & Plans" link in the hero, price behind it |
| Everyone else | Nothing. Quote on request. |
Publishing a real per-student number is therefore a category-level differentiator on its own, before anyone compares the number itself.
Edusys anchors Gulf buyers at 1–5 AED per student per month. Pro at $1.50 is ≈5.5 AED — at or just above the top of that band. Lead with the free tier and with what the price includes (every module, no per-module upsell), not with "we're cheaper", which is not true against a Gulf ERP reseller. Canonical tiers: Business model.
Section order
The category has converged on one skeleton. Counts are out of the 20 pages captured.
| # | Section | Pages using it | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Hero — headline + CTA | 20 | Universal |
| 2 | Proof band | 18 | Scale numbers, customer logos, or both |
| 3 | Who it's for | 14 | By school type, or by role (leader / teacher / parent / student) |
| 4 | "Everything in one place" | 13 | The anti-add-on pitch; Bromcom, Skolera and Classter each build a section |
| 5 | Module grid | 17 | SIS, finance, HR, transport, library, comms |
| 6 | Testimonials | 15 | Usually a carousel |
| 7 | Named case studies | 11 | Best ones carry a school name and a student count |
| 8 | Content marketing | 9 | Blog, podcast, annual report, events |
| 9 | Awards / partners | 8 | Classter and Alef both lead with awards |
| 10 | Closing CTA | 20 | Almost always "book a demo" |
Steps 1, 5 and 10 are effectively mandatory. Steps 8 and 9 are what large vendors add once they have run out of product claims.
Trust devices
How the category answers "can we rely on you?" without being asked. Each of these maps to a fear catalogued in the FAQ.
- Named case studies with a student count. "British International School of Jeddah, 1,300+ students" does more work than any feature list. Eleven vendors run these; they are the highest-value asset we currently lack.
- Longevity claims. FACTS "40+ years", Bromcom "40+ years", ParentPay "40+ years", Skyward "since 1980", openSIS "18+ years". This is a direct answer to will you still exist in five years — the question we are least able to answer with age, and must answer with architecture instead.
- Security and compliance documents. Bromcom links an Information Security Policy Statement and a Cloud Self Certification straight from the footer. Post-2025 this moved from procurement paperwork to landing-page furniture.
- Awards. Alef replaces its hero with a TIME ranking; Classter runs a full awards section and a "98% user satisfaction" badge.
- Total-cost calculators. Bromcom publishes a TCO calculator — pre-empting the hidden-cost objection by inviting the arithmetic.
Regional and language patterns
- EduX names its geography in the headline ("built for MENA, Gulf & Africa") and lists nine countries in the subheadline, then adds ministry-compliant reporting, local payment gateways and a native parent app. That is our positioning, written by someone else, on the page, first.
- Bilingual is a stated feature, not an implied one. EduX puts "AR / EN" in the proof band. Fedena claims 20+ languages, Gibbon 26+. None of them treat Arabic as the default rendering direction — which is a real difference, but it is a product difference we currently fail to claim on the page.
- Ministry compliance is a headline-level concern in MENA and invisible in the UK/US sets. Edusys and EduX both surface it early; no global incumbent mentions a ministry anywhere.
Selling time
Four of the twenty sell time rather than features, and it is the most persuasive copy in the set:
- Arbor — "Choose a better way to work" · 117+ minutes saved per staff member weekly
- Skyward — "Less time on tasks. More time for students."
- ParentPay Group — "Creating more time for learning"
- Veracross — "School data chaos, solved."
Our own marketing already believes this: marketing.missionCards in src/components/internationalization/en.json reads "A restoration of time, elimination of repetitive… Schools lose 40 hours monthly to paperwork; we give 80% of that back." That claim is stronger than anything in the table above — and it still sits in section 3, below the fold. The hero itself stopped being abstract on 2026-08-30, when "Automate the boring, elevate the wonder." gave way to "The complete platform for schools and teaching." / المنظومة الشاملة لإدارة المدارس والعملية التعليمية.
Our page versus the category
Current composition is src/components/saas-marketing/content.tsx; the hero is src/components/saas-marketing/hero.tsx.
| Pattern | Category | Ours |
|---|---|---|
| Hero headline | 20 / 20 | "The complete platform for schools and teaching." |
| Hero subheadline | 17 / 20 | Rendered since 2026-08-30 — the unified-platform paragraph |
| Proof band | 18 / 20 | Not rendered — the badge copy exists but never reaches the page |
| Self-serve door | 6 / 20 | Free tier, permanent, no card — stronger than any of the six |
| Published price | 1 / 20 (buried in a FAQ) | Full per-student pricing on /pricing |
| Named case study | 11 / 20 | None |
| Longevity claim | 5 / 20 | None available |
| Geography in the headline | 1 / 20 (EduX) | None |
Half of this is fixed. marketing.hero.subtitle reached the page on
2026-08-30: hero.tsx renders it as a paragraph under the <h1>, and the
copy was rewritten at the same time to the unified-platform pitch. The proof
band is still dark — marketing.hero.badge ("700+ School automated") exists
in both en.json and ar.json and is referenced nowhere in the JSX. That one
stays dark on purpose until the number is verifiable; per What to avoid
below, publishing an install base we would lose an argument over costs more
than publishing none.
What to steal
- The proof band. Universal, and ours is written already. Make it honest and checkable — modules shipped, languages, payment rails, hours to a live subdomain — rather than an inflated install base we would have to defend.
- The outcome number over the headcount. We cannot win 60M students. We can win "117 minutes" — Arbor's own framing, aimed at the same overloaded administrator, and measurable from our own usage data.
- The named case study. The single highest-leverage asset we do not have. Worth asking a pilot school for consent explicitly.
- The operational proof. "Subdomain in 24 hours" is EduX's "48-hour activation" halved, and it is true today.
- Geography in the headline. EduX proved it works and got there first on the page, even though we get there first in the product.
What to avoid
- "Book a demo" as the only door. Fourteen vendors made this mistake and it is why a self-serve free tier cuts through.
- The superlative arms race. "World's most comprehensive", "world's premium", "the ultimate in school efficiency", "the best". The category is saturated with unfalsifiable claims — which is exactly why one concrete, checkable claim stands out.
- Awards as a substitute for a hero. Alef replaced its headline with a TIME ranking. Nobody evaluating a school platform came to read a press release.
- Numbers we cannot defend. "700+ School automated" is currently in the dictionary and unverified. Publishing an install-base number we would lose an argument over costs more than publishing none.
